Second Weigh in

So today was our 2nd weigh in.  I am so excited about my progress.

I have to say it has been hard this week not being able to go to the gym.  Being able to maintain and still loose this week is quite the accomplishment.  A big shout out to all my family and friends who have supported me and continue to support me through this journey.

Results will be posted in next Sunday's News-Herald!!  Congrats to all the contestants this month!!

Another week....

I have been working out as much as possible.  I have discovered that when I plan my meals ahead of time it leaves me with no excuses on bad eating habits.  For example today we had a lunch meeting.  Nothing was good for a person who is counting calories and watching what they eat.  Luckily  I planed ahead and bought my lunch to work today!

About another week and a half for our next weigh in!!

So I have been reading everyone's blog about emotional eating!   I myself had a day like that today, happy to report every time I thought of eating the wrong food I drank water.

As my family and friends already know this, I am going to share with everyone else!  This past year I ran for city council for Mentor on the Lake.  Unfortunately I did not win, I lost by a slim 107 votes.  I found out this weekend that a council member is resigning due to a new job position (congrats to Andy Rose).  I now have the opportunity to apply for this position and fill the remainder of his term if I am selected.  I have been working on updating my resume and cover letter for the past two days.  Being very anxious and nervous about these events I have wanted to eat anything and everything!  I was able to control these feelings and make healthy choices!

Wish me luck!!

March 10

Had an awesome work out so far this weekend.  Friday 1.5 hours at the Painesville Y doing cardio, Saturday 1 hour am boot camp at Slim & Fit in Willoughby, and Sunday will be at FitWorks trying another spinning class!!

Being part of this contest we have many classes available to us for free, letting this journey be excuse free. I am very excited to start my classes at the Tri-Point Wellness center.  The first one will be Monday nights Zumba class, then Wednesday nights 20/20/20 (20 minutes of cardio, 20 minutes of strength, and 20 minutes of toning), and my newest Slim & Fit on Saturdays.  These are six week classes that start on March 26th!  I will also still be doing my morning boot camp at work!

Feeling great everyday!!

Monday March 5th

Working out in the evening is pretty hard to do alone.  I teamed up with Crystal, another contestant and we had a great work out this evening at the Central Y.  We got about an hour in.  It really does feel good.  I really dislike the elliptical but I toughed it out for a whole 15 minutes!!!

Crystal thanks for the workout.  Hopefully we can get more workouts together in the evening or Saturday morning!  It does make the time go buy much faster!!

March 4th...

So today I went to Fitworks with the hubby and some great friends of ours!  We got in early to secure a spot for the spin class.  We had an hour to work out before the spinning class.  Did a little over a mile on the treadmill then did some weight machines.  This is my first spinning class, the instructor was great.  She showed me how to adjust the bike and told me to go at my own pace.  About 10-15 minutes into the class I had some leg cramps.  I decided I would try the class another time.  Went back out into the gym for more treadmill and weight machines.  We spent just about 2 hours at the gym today and I feel great!!!

Boot camp tomorrow!!!
